Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?
Vignesh: There's nothing new in the dating space for almost a decade now. Mutual swiping concept is good but then there are so many drawbacks in it! So, when I was thinking of introducing some new revolutionary concepts which will be fair as well as safe to everyone into the dating/meeting space, I came up with this idea of Blind meet.
Great Companies: What are the various Services provided by Blind Meet (OPC) Private Limited
Vignesh: For users, Blind Meet allows them to meet new people with similar interests nearby in real time, in real life and also to discover events where they can keep themselves entertained and socialize.
For businesses like cafés and event management companies, we give walk-ins and charge only for each walk-in. No CPC or CPM.
Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?
Vignesh: Since, this concept was fairly new in dating apps, we found it difficult to make people understand how the app works and how safe it is initially. So, it took a lot of real time support to guide them throughout the meet!
Great Companies: What makes Blind Meet (OPC) Private Limited different from hundreds of other similar service providers?
Vignesh:
It is impossible to judge someone by looking at their DP with filters and googled bio within seconds. So, blind meet skipped all the virtual stuff involved in other dating apps like swiping on a profile based on their dp/bio, chatting, etc., and introduced meeting in safe public places in real time!
Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Blind Meet (OPC) Private Limited?
Vignesh: Basing the youth as our important customers, we plan to bring out all new and exciting ways to make the youth more involved and 5 years down the line, we can see a promising level of growth for our app, by expanding our development, content, marketing and sales team by future plans as follows -
1. Organising group meets at specific sponsored location at specific times everyday.
2. Organising paid group trips to undisclosed destinations.
3. Blind Café meets.
Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
Vignesh: For someone just starting out I would suggest, create a business plan, hire wisely, set goals and work hard but most importantly BE PASSIONATE and never ever stop networking!
