Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?

Sunit Kumar: While preparing for IITs, I used to ponder over how teachers should be using the new age technology to make learning more engaging and interesting for students. How it would improve the pedagogy and make the whole learning process fun for students. After completing my engineering and working with various software MNCs, interacting with my colleagues in the office and observing them I realised that something seriously needs to be done to change the whole teaching and learning process. This led to the idea of being an edupreneur.

Great Companies: What are the various Services provided by Edukosh Services Private Limited

Sunit Kumar: We provide online and offline coaching for IIT JEE, NEET, SAT and Foundation for class 6th to 10th. We are one of the first institutes having hybrid classrooms with cutting edge technology. We are having our own LMS where we offer students all the resources needed during day to day preparation. We also have our own testing platform similar to NTA where students can practice all the mock tests.

Sunit Kumar:

We are different from hundreds of other EdTech firms in our approach. We have a student centric approach where we try to help students in all possible ways. We not only provide coaching for various exams but we also motivate them to achieve their full potential. Our faculties act as a life coach for students, where they guide them to achieve success without any pressure. We also focus on inner strength and meditation to keep them calm during their preparation.

Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?

Sunit Kumar: It is very hard to find good team members who have a hunger to do something out of the way for educating young minds to achieve their full potential. We have a very dedicated team but to expand we need many more people in our team who are passionate towards educating young minds and help them think differently. Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Edukosh Services Private Limited?

Sunit Kumar: In future we plan to launch many web and mobile applications targeting all the exams for admissions into foreign universities like SAT, GRE, GMAT, ACT, TOEFL etc. Platform for learning languages like English, Hindi, Sanskrit, French, German, Spanish. Platform to learn GK, Logical Reasoning etc. Five years down the line we look to be one of the leading EdTech companies. We would also launch online counselling for students to fight depression and work on mental health. Online counselling for subject choice throughout the world. One stop shop for all the educational needs.

Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Sunit Kumar: Start early as soon as you pass out from college or high school. Start planning while studying with like minded fellow students, best teams are made in the college only. As you grow old the responsibilities start mounting on you and it becomes difficult to bring like minded people together on one platform.
