Scott Nadel, CEO at Universal Hospitality Solution

Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?

Scott Nadel: My grandfather started in the hotel industry and I grew up around it. I wanted to have his legacy live on through me and I decided to form Universal Hospitality Solutions in order to do that. I learned so much from very talented people over the years and I wanted to take what I learned and utilize it to provide a superior service to those I service.

Great Companies: What are the various Services provided by Universal Hospitality Solutions?

Scott Nadel: Universal Hospitality Solutions provides complete lifecycle services for hotel owners and investors including hotel development and property management.

Great Companies: What makes Universal Hospitality Solutions from hundreds of other similar service providers?

Scott Nadel:

We operate hotels in ways that put the customer experience first. With over 40 years combined experience, our partners have the deep insight into market conditions, construction, forecasting, sales and marketing, operations, staffing, management, hotel brands, and other areas necessary to maximize the revenue and profitability for any hotel project at any phase in its lifecycle.

Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?

Scott Nadel: Just like a lot of other companies COVID-19 created new challenges and forced us to adapt to a new way of business. Retaining and finding talent remains a challenge since COVID as well as the challenge of people wanting to travel and stay in a hotel.

Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Universal Hospitality Solution?

Scott Nadel: To acquire more assets and help my clients grow their portfolios to their maximum potential. I would like our team to have more opportunities to be able to grow into leadership roles as well as get more involved with our local communities.

Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Scott Nadel: Stay persistent. You will have days of failure and days of success. All the hard work and effort will eventually pay off
