Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?
Saumya Jain: We are a family-run business with the fourth generation now in the business. Started by my great grandfather, Mr. Jaichand Jain in 1941, we have been driven by a single-minded mission to enable access to water in the remotest and roughest of terrains across the globe.

The Vinyl range of pipes includes well-casing pipes, pressure pipes, column pipes, screen pipes, HDPE pipes, and their respective fittings, which find application in water-wells, irrigation, sanitation, housing, drainage, and rainwater harvesting.
All unique products undergo an annealing process that provides them the distinction of being all-weather & all-terrain pipes. They withstand extreme temperatures & jerks without losing form.
Our Column uPVC pipes are one of a kind in the industry. The Vinyl uPVC Column Pipes come equipped with a (patent pending) lock designed to raise the standard of Borewell installations. This lock plays a dual role. On one hand, it ensures that the pipes are perfectly aligned on the other lends support in load-bearing which makes the pipes stress-free and perfect for handling high-pressure water. Furthermore, a Rubber seal has been added to the lock making the pipe leakproof.
Great Companies: What makes Vinyl Pipes Private Limited different from hundreds of other PVC Pipe Manufacturing firms?
Saumya Jain : We are very committed to creating high-quality products to cater to every water management need across the globe. Our in-house R&D department incessantly works at improving our offerings with unique features that bring tangible benefits to the water well and water management industry.
One such endeavor has been the introduction of special processes that help in enhancing the mechanical property of the pipe, adding years to its life. With this process, all our pipes withstand extreme movement and bending, extreme temperatures, making them fit for extreme terrains & earthquake-prone areas too. Vinyl pipes have been designed for high durability and long-lasting; they have a life of 50+years and thereafter being recyclable have a value past their life span too.
Quality being paramount, we have all quality certifications from the Bureau of India Standards (BIS), Indian Standard Institute (ISI), International Standards Organization (ISO), and Conformité Européene (CE). Third-party inspections from agencies like SGC, RITES, and IEPT lend further credibility to our products.
The focus on operational excellence and customer empathy resulted in the set up of the 2nd state-of-art manufacturing unit 10 Kms off the Mundra seaport in Gandhidham, Gujarat, India. Proximity to the port has helped bring down the import cost and reduced the time of the shipment to customers. Today, Vinyl Pipes can deliver within 21 days anywhere across the globe.
Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?
Saumya Jain: This last one + year has thrown up unprecedented challenges forcing us like all other companies to imbibe agility. It was a challenging journey to achieve that. Other than that, challenges have come up in the form of irregular and erratic supply chains, sharply changing prices of raw materials, running operations seamlessly while keeping staff safe & meeting customer commitments. We struggled, we learned, and in many ways rediscovered ourselves and how we work to grow as a team and business.

The immediate focus is being Middle East & Sub-Saharan region, thereafter South America, Europe & North America. We also hope to have a manufacturing unit in the Sub-Saharan region to cater to the demand of this market more effectively by the end of the 5 years.
