Renee Henville - Managing Director of Integrated Human Resourcing

Great Companies: Please tell me something about the business and how did you come up with such an idea?

Renee Henville: I had been part of in-house Human Resources teams for many years, and when on maternity leave a number of contract opportunities were presented to me. I jumped at the chance to contract to these companies and so Integrated Human Resources was created. That was 9 years ago, since then (and having 2 children) the business has grown to support over 90 businesses with a total of some 900+ employees. We are a team of 3 (+ a university intern), based in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast.

Great Companies: What are the various services and products provided by your company?

Renee Henville: We offer the full suite of HR support including Recruitment, Selection & On boarding, Employment Agreements and Policy & Procedure Manuals, Workforce Change and Restructure, Salary Reviews, Formal Performance Management, DISC Workplace Behaviour Assessment, WH&S Manuals, Workforce Planning to Terminations and Redundancies.

Great Companies: Why should one choose you over others in this field?

Renee Henville: In our 10 years of operation we have a 95% client retention rate, we have a very reputable business with strong values. We are a dedicated team who are truly passionate about seeing people and business succeed alike. We provide proactive and practical support and advice with the mind-set of what's best for the business.

Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?

Renee Henville: Employment Law within Australia is constantly changing and despite the challenges of Coronavirus, in 2020 Australia has experienced large reforms within Modern Awards and within the Fair Work Act. We ensure that we remain educated of all the changes to ensure best advice is given to our clients. As a business, our challenge is to engage businesses with 80+ staff as their outsourced HR department.

Great Companies: What do you think are the few main things which are most important for a successful business?

Renee Henville: Always learning, to everyday learn something new and to surround yourself with trusted advisors. To continue to challenge the status quo and to lead with integrity and honesty.
