Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?

Rakesh Sareen: My girlfriend of the time, who happens to be my wife now, wanted to wear something ethnic which had a designer wear element in it, made from quality material and yet didn’t burn a hole in her pocket. Hence, came the idea of Abhishti, were we produce high quality garments which are designed for high street and priced decently to help people look good.


Great Companies: What are the various Services provided by ABHISHTI TEXTILE PRIVATE LIMITED

Rakesh Sareen: We provide high quality garments which are trend setters for Indian market and are aspirational for our demographic. We have 2 brands namely Abhishti, which caters to the ethnic segment and Blue hour which is travel wear focused western brand.


Great Companies: What makes ABHISHTI TEXTILE PRIVATE LIMITED different from hundreds of other Retail brands?

Rakesh Sareen:

We constantly give new designs and silhouettes to our consumers who love us for our innovation and design ideology. We consistently deliver identical colors and products as seen on screen and deliver what is promised. We have an open channel with our believers to listen to their queries, issues, doubts and complaints, often peppered with compliments which keeps us on our toes and makes us better every day.


Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?

Rakesh Sareen: Working capital, Uncertain health environment and the ever shifting needle of e-commerce. These issues are the unforced errors which keeps us up at night. Almost everything else besides this is a step in a learning curve that we only take once.


Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for ABHISHTI TEXTILE PRIVATE LIMITED?

Rakesh Sareen : Through an omni channel approach with a healthy mix of offline stores paired with a robust e-commerce platform. The way the pandemic has panned out for the past 2 years, the amount of uncertainty that has seeped in, not only in the professional realm but the personal one too, we are taking it year on year. Rest all is hopes and dreams.



Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Rakesh Sareen: A business can only absolutely focus on one of 3 things i.e., Product, Employees or Customers. Anyone starting out should have clarity of focus on one of these three. Once that focus is embalmed into their soul, then not let it shift, and run with it.
