Company Detail:

Iris Zemza Nozizwe Mhlanga is a remarkable woman based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. She founded the Nozizwe Mother of Nations Trust in 2018, with a mission to uplift vulnerable communities across Zimbabwe. The trust provides critical support to individuals in need, including food, medical care, education, and psycho-social assistance. Beyond direct aid, Mhlanga advocates for marginalized groups and inspires change. Her philanthropic work has earned her 30 international awards, two honorary degrees, and a fellowship under Eudoxia International University. She continues the legacy of her late father, who was also a philanthropist. Despite challenges like lack of access to medication and donor fatigue, the Nozizwe Mother of Nations Trust sustains itself through personal funds, corporate sponsorships, and well-wishers. Additionally, Mhlanga has contributed her literature to the book Women Making a Difference, becoming the first African to do so. Her global recognition includes being a finalist in the 2024 Women Changing the World awards.

Unique Value Proposition:

She has a dream to build halfway homes, schools, and clinics worldwide to continue uplifting vulnerable communities. She sees homelessness and wishes to do something to make a change in a bigger way than what is being done now. She trusts that her international appointments and networking will help her achieve that on an international level, starting with Zimbabwe. Funding is a major drawback in the trust's activities.

A customer’s review:

Caring for the most vulnerable

Community / Society Service:

The biggest project in Zimbabwe is education. The trust has managed to keep over a thousand children in school since starting in 2018. Some have finished school and are now giving back by uplifting and educating other vulnerable children. The partnership with Mustard Seed Communities Zimbabwe has ensured no child gets left behind. Together, they have a feeding program serving 1,200 children per day in Bulawayo. They have also started feeding children in Makokoba every Sunday at Thabiso Youth Center in partnership with VanBeek Foundation, Chef Cathrine Charisa, and Santa Comes to Makokoba.
