Company Detail:

This is the age of the information Revolution, which has made the globe shrink as never before. Countries have leapfrogged barriers of time and space; people have started speaking a new language of brotherhood; ideologies are disintegrating, yielding place to the concept of citizens of the world.

One of the best dimensions of this newfound freedom can be play – a language everyone understands, unmindful of political borders, racial differences, linguistic divides, and ethnic considerations. Human contact is the name of the new game, and bridging the gaps between peoples, regions, languages, cultures, and hearts is the new strategy. CHILDREN TOY FOUNDATION hopes to achieve this at both national and international levels.

Children Toy Foundation, established in 1982, is a public charitable trust and was registered in 1984. Children Toy Foundation’s Toy Story is Unique, Nothing like Anything.

They add life into the years of CHILDHOOD.

In Children Toy Foundation, C = Creative, T = Time, and F = Fun. At the Foundation, children have creative time and fun.

Their aim is to educate children beyond reading and writing, to help them acquire real skills and develop positive attitudes in their life to instill a sense of pride in them and further boost their confidence. For this, they use the potential force of toys and games to mold the character and temperament of the young ones and hone their latent talents.

Games give training in life skills such as decision-making, time management, negotiation, critical thinking, and leadership.

To achieve their objectives, the products or services they offer are as follows:

Establish/help to set up toy/game libraries: The Foundation helps those aspiring to set up a toy/game library by guiding them from the moment of conception to the moment of delivery. To begin with, they advise on what to buy, where to buy, and why to buy. They help them acquire toys/games at concessional rates. Then they provide the necessary training to a core group of volunteers on how to run the library in a professional fashion.

Wherever/whenever possible, they guide them in raising funds from individual philanthropists, charitable trusts, social organizations, etc., so that the library is on sound footing. Libraries can boast of multifarious variety. They have helped put up libraries in orphanages, schools, NGOs, hospitals, and even in jails and deserts.

They want to see that libraries are not just renting libraries but like a play center blooming with different activities like their Khelvigyan project described below. It can be a place of attraction also for visitors/tourists.

To Establish & run Static/Mobile Khelvigyan projects: Khelvigyan is their original Made in India project-an extension of the toy library project and can scale up to the all-India level and also up to international fun & mind games events if all capitalists and other stakeholders support.

As the name suggests, play helps in the holistic, scientific development of a child. Toys play a significant role in the growth of a child right when they start learning to walk with the help of a walker to when they start thinking about all aspects/situations while playing a game like chess.

The idea being based on the concept of ‘learns while you play’ they have added programs to inculcate art and skill. This involves storytelling, puppetry, craft, drawing drama besides G.K., and curriculum-based games and activities.

Centers operate in such a way that every class gets one hour of playtime twice a week. On the sponsor’s choice, the number of visits is decided. The center has a well-equipped library and trained teachers to impart the necessary skill to the students. Each teacher is in charge of 8-10 students to look after the progress of the squad. In limited times of interactions with children, they have achieved good results.

Revive old games and develop new ones: Like Bhule Bisre Geet, they revive old games and with their experience, they devise new games and new ideas. They have created games like Be 2nd to be 1st, Little Maths Master, Chess ‘O’ 64, and Musical Housie with a twist.

They also arrange Inter school, Inter College, and family contests in fun & mind games. They have won International acclaim for their concept of International Olympics in fun & mind games. They feature in Limca Book of Records for their unique feat. They have received many such awards and certificates.

All their programs are based on their vision that no child should be deprived of toys, childhood pleasure, and learning tools. Their motto is to Play together, Stay together.

For age group 3 to 6-6.5, they use all educative, developmental games like Things that go together, What is missing, Color and shapes, Animals their homes, and what they eat, story jigsaw puzzles, etc.

For age groups 6-6.5+, all the brain games are used to develop creative thinking, strategic thinking enhancing intelligence. Learning to tackle different situations on the game board will be quite useful to think of all aspects of different situations in life later on.

Einstein said, "The true sign of education is not knowledge but imagination." While playing, future generations, namely children, become imaginative and creative, which is a good sign of a healthy nation.

Late FRM President Shri Abdul Kalam said, “My message especially to young people is to have the courage to think differently, the courage to invent, to travel the unexplored path, the courage to discover the impossible, and to conquer problems.”

Children learn basic human virtues such as sportsmanship spirit, discipline, patience, honesty, truth, and acceptance of defeat gracefully, and develop the spirit of cooperative competitiveness.
