Great Companies : Please tell me something about the business and how did you come up with such an idea?

Mehul Pande:MMP Refratech is a company which caters to insulation requirements of Industrial Furnaces. Currently, we are catering to industries such as Forging, Foundries, Die Casting, Heat Treatment, Automotive OEM, Furnace and Boiler manufacturers. In 2018, seeing a business and value addition opportunity in this field, we started our company and has been growing since.

Great Companies: What are the various services and products provided by your company?

Mehul Pande:We are Authorised Stockiest of Refractories, i.e. insulation products that are used at high temperatures (normally above 500 Deg. Cel.) in Industrial Furnaces and boilers.

Along with the products, we have in-house team for application of the same and provide complete maintenance of Furnaces

Mehul Pande:We do not just provide insulation to the furnaces but are more focussed on saving the energy for our patrons by reducing the heat loss of furnaces and providing some propreitary products in the market. We have complete one stop solution when it comes to Furnace Maintenance right from supply of Authorised products to application and after sales maintenance.

Great Companies : What are the struggles and challenges you face?

Mehul Pande:Increasing competition and over educated customers are one of the main challenges, as conversion of prospects to customers becomes a time consuming process. Here, our genuine value addition in furnace life and prompt service enables us to overcome these challenges

Great Companies : What do you think are the few main things which are most important for a successful business?

Mehul Pande:People skills would be the most important aspect for me. Also adequate knowledge of finance, in the sense, P&L, Cashflow, costing should be known to the entrepreneur to take sales decisions.
