Kerry Davison - Founder of Elite Interior Design Services

Great Companies: Please tell me something about the business and how did you come up with such an idea?

Kerry Davison: My business is made up of various levels of service that clients can opt in or out of to suit their requirements and budget. More and more of us are choosing to renovate rather than relocate and my 3D virtual tours can help you to visualise your plans and make changes at design stage. I started my own business to fit in with family life and having been a CAD Design Engineer for over 15 years, this gave me a great additional service to offer my clients.

Great Companies: What are the various services and products provided by your company?

Kerry Davison: We offer a tiered range of services which are all optional starting with Mood Boards/Initial Design Ideas including all featured product information, then we can go out to tender for comparison prices for all trades required. For larger projects or layout changes the 3D drawings and virtual tour videos help with furniture placement and layout. There is also a full Project Coordination option for people who are unable to manage their own build / project. New services added include a property staging service whereby my team of trades’ people will transform a property for a quick sale or to bring it up to date. Also we have a seasonal Christmas Tree dressing service.

Great Companies: Why should one choose you over others in this field?

Kerry Davison: My services are flexible, cost effective and you can decide which of the services you wish to take up. It’s a one stop shop for all aspects relating to renovation and design.

Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?

Kerry Davison: Trying to juggle my business and motherhood can be quite demanding. I am very fortunate to have a fantastic family support system in place and can plan my work days in accordance with my childcare requirements. During the current lockdown conditions I have found that the referral networking group I belong to have been a huge support to both myself and my business.

Great Companies: What do you think are the few main things which are most important for a successful business?

Kerry Davison: Honesty, Integrity, Hard Work and having the right team behind you.
