Great Companies: Please tell me something about the business and how did you come up with such an idea?
Jacqui Freeman: I have a background interior design and I was working as a real estate and saw a real gap in the market for home staging that didn’t look so "staged" and clinical and all looking very much the same. So I leapt at the opportunity to start my own business. I had all the contacts with the agents. I got a very small loan and have been self-funding and has gone from strength to strength.
Great Companies: What are the various services and products provided by your company?
Jacqui Freeman: Home staging, partial staging, interior design refreshes, de-cluttering.
Great Companies: Why should one choose you over others in this field?
Jacqui Freeman: Our point of difference is the detail we provide in the staging. We put a lot of time into the planning of the job. We pride ourselves on the time we take as the small details really make the difference. Every job is completed by myself and a qualified interior designer. We are also very reasonably priced.
Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?
Jacqui Freeman: A lack of storage space. Making the business profitable but still sticking to your core values.
Great Companies: What do you think are the few main things which are most important for a successful business?
Jacqui Freeman: Structure, organization, good accounting systems, making a profit.
