Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?
David Einstin: The Indian Road Transportation market is to grow at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8 per cent and reach $330 Bn by 2025.We have big logos like Amazon, Flipkart in the ecom sector with the expected growth of $120 Bn by 2025, which is twice lower than the Road Transportation sector. But we don't have a big logo to mention in the road Transportation sector to address the disconnect between the Shipper and the transporter. This unaddressed market potential makes me to look towards the transportation sector.
Great Companies: What are the various Services provided by D2B Cargo Private Limited
David Einstin: D2B Cargo is the online truck booking marketplace connecting the customers and the transporters without any brokers in between. The main services are Organizing the freelance truckers, Serving shippers with verified truckers at the unknown locations, Facilitating the transporters with advance load booking at any location across country, Bidding services for Customers for best offers.
Great Companies: What makes D2B Cargo Private Limited different from hundreds of other similar service providers?
David Einstin:
There are no hundreds of different service providers. Yes there are some players providing the similar kind of services. But the USP is D2B cargo is the only company allows the transporters and the shippers to connect directly and fix the rate for the consignment. All other players will fix the rate and give the consignment to the transporters and the money will be credited to the transporters account after 3 to 5 business days after the service charge decoctions. We are here to eliminate this process and give full credit to the parties.
Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?
David Einstin: Lack of awareness of this concept and D2B Cargo is still educating the transporters, making them to understand that D2B Cargo is not like other players to deduct service charge for each load or to fix the load for you. Its not a cake walk to deal with the transporters to create the awareness. But now we are progressing well as the market is responding positively.
Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for D2B Cargo Private Limited?
David Einstin: D2B Cargo's short term goal is to capture the market in the Indian Metros like Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad and in 5 years D2B cargo will be addressing 10% of $330 Bn market and will cover the TAM of $1.5 to 2 Bn and extended its presence in other parts of the world.
Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
David Einstin: My advice or what I believe is that any successful business model is something that you learn how to do business. But not copy it for your business.
