Danielle Naylor, Founder at Where's My Meeting

Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?

Danielle Naylor: My husband has a background in Audio Visual Production, and I have been an entrepreneur for over 15 years. During the pandemic, we experienced an impactful drop in in-person social events. We noticed many people scrambling to provide an alternative to staying connected while isolated. We started as a two-person team providing live stream hosting services to churches and non-profit organizations.

Great Companies: What are the various services provided by Where's My Meeting?

Danielle Naylor: We provide high-quality audio/video equipment and staging and lighting equipment for conferences and events of all sizes.

Great Companies: What makes Where's My Meeting different from hundreds of other similar service providers?

Danielle Naylor: Our company is one of the few audio-visual companies that are woman-owned and black-owned. Because we have faced many adversaries during our journey, we must employ those who look like us, most notably those who look like me, creating a path for more women of color to enter the industry.

Great Companies: What were the struggles and challenges you faced and how did you overcome them?

Danielle Naylor: One of the struggles that we continue to face is trying to beat out our competitors. We are a small company. Many of our clients are used to working with large multi-million dollar businesses, knowing there may be some areas where we may need to catch up. Our clients continue to want to work with us because of our honest work and fair pricing.

Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for Where's My Meeting?

Danielle Naylor: We are continuing to build our team of contractors. Soon, we will begin creating our fleet of delivery trucks to make our services more seamless.

Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Danielle Naylor: Find opportunities to collaborate with people in the business or industry you are interested in working in.
