Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?
Claire Hayek: The idea for MSP Teambuilding was born from my personal experience managing teams in various industries over 20+ years. I witnessed firsthand the toll that poor team dynamics, disengagement, and lack of purpose could have on productivity and morale. As an engineer with a passion for human connections, I envisioned a company that could go beyond traditional "team-building" activities to build teams that are resilient, purpose-driven, and ready to excel in any environment. My vision was to combine neuroscience, creativity, and leadership principles into programs that bring measurable and lasting transformation to teams.

Great Companies: What makes MSP Teambuilding different from hundreds of other similar service providers?
Claire Hayek: What truly sets MSP Teambuilding apart is our unwavering commitment to building a box around your team instead of trying to fit you into a one-size-fits-all solution. Every organization is unique, with its own culture, challenges, and goals, so why should team-building be any different? We don’t believe in cookie-cutter approaches. Instead, we take the time to listen, understand, and tailor every program to align with what your team actually needs.
For us, it’s about creating solutions that feel like they were made just for you—because they were. Whether it’s designing a program to bridge cultural gaps in a global team or helping a hybrid workforce rediscover their connection, we start with your goals and build from there. And it’s not just about addressing the surface-level issues. We dig deep to tackle the root causes, fostering long-lasting transformation instead of temporary fixes.
On top of that, we bring a fresh, innovative approach that combines neuroscience, creativity, and purpose-driven initiatives. This ensures our programs are not only engaging but also deliver measurable impact. We don’t just strengthen bonds—we elevate productivity, resilience, and morale. And with a risk-free guarantee, we back our work with the confidence that our clients will see real results.
At MSP, we don’t just build teams; we empower them to thrive on their own terms, creating a foundation for success that’s as unique as the people behind it.
Great Companies: What were the struggles and challenges you faced and how did you overcome them?
Claire Hayek: Like any entrepreneurial journey, starting MSP Teambuilding came with its fair share of challenges. In the beginning, one of the biggest hurdles was shifting perceptions. Many organizations were so accustomed to the traditional “team-building” approach—think trust falls and icebreakers—that introducing a deeper, more impactful way of building teams felt like an uphill battle. It took time to show that what we offer isn’t just a fun day out; it’s a long-term investment in their team’s success. Sharing success stories and tangible results helped bridge that gap and earn trust.
Scaling was another challenge, especially as our reach began to grow. Balancing demand while maintaining the quality and personal touch we’re known for wasn’t easy. We overcame this by building a strong, diverse team of facilitators who share our vision and by embracing technology to ensure seamless delivery, even for global clients.
And of course, like many businesses, we’ve faced economic fluctuations where companies deprioritize team investments. In those moments, we focused on educating clients about how investing in team culture directly combats turnover and boosts long-term productivity. It wasn’t always easy, but staying true to our mission and consistently delivering results helped us weather those storms.
Looking back, those challenges weren’t just obstacles—they were opportunities to learn, adapt, and grow. Each one reinforced our commitment to the vision of building resilient, purpose-driven teams, and that’s a reward in itself.
Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for MSP Teambuilding?
Claire Hayek: When I think about the future of MSP Teambuilding, I feel both excited and deeply motivated. In five years, I see us expanding our global footprint, connecting with organizations in even more countries, and using digital platforms to ensure that no team, no matter how remote, feels left behind. Growth for us isn’t just about getting bigger—it’s about doing more meaningful work.
Innovation is going to be at the heart of our journey. We’re constantly exploring new ways to integrate AI, ESG metrics, and neuroscience into our programs, because I believe that staying ahead of the curve is essential to delivering real impact. I also envision our certification programs—like "Team Transformation Certified" and "Team Impact Certified"—becoming gold standards in the industry. It’s not just about teams being stronger but about organizations feeling the ripple effect of that strength in their results and culture.
At the same time, social impact will play a big role in our growth. I want MSP to lead initiatives that empower underrepresented groups and champion sustainability. I believe that businesses have a responsibility to contribute to the world beyond the bottom line, and
I want that to be a legacy we proudly build.
Above all, I want to scale with integrity. Growth can sometimes dilute the personal touch, but not at MSP. Our goal is to expand while ensuring every program feels as tailored, personal, and impactful as if it were crafted for one team alone. In five years, I see a thriving, purpose-driven MSP Teambuilding, with teams all over the world transformed for the better.
Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
Claire Hayek: Start with purpose. Build a business that not only addresses a need but also resonates with your values. Challenges will come, but having a strong "why" will keep you grounded and resilient. Focus on creating value and forming meaningful relationships with clients. Success is not just about profits; it's about the positive impact you leave behind.
