Chandini Ann Khanna, Content Specialist

Great Companies: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?

Chandini Ann Khanna: I work in two different realms: Content Specialization and as an Emotional Intelligence Certified Practitioner.

On content, I work alone, and write for businesses – all types of content, across niches and industries. I began working from home in 2011 when my father fell seriously ill, ending a 19+year corporate career. I chose writing because I was always fond of communicating through the written word and began content writing with a single client. He further recommended me to two more clients, and that is how my content specialization took shape. I know for a fact that I have constantly improved the way I write, the words I use, and the way that I put the client’s thoughts into words.

Emotional Intelligence – I work with a partner, Angad Singh, on Emotional Intelligence. Our company is AnChEI Solutions.

Great Companies: What are the various Services provided by your company

Chandini Ann Khanna: For content: As I mentioned, I write all types of content, across niches and industries. Preparing logos, website design, pitch decks, and other creatives too, are things that I do.

On Emotional Intelligence – We conduct training and workshops across age groups and industries. If you are human, you need Emotional Intelligence.

Great Companies: What makes your company different from hundreds of other similar service providers?

Chandini Ann Khanna:

As a content specialist, my background is rooted in the English Language, hence it is not something I picked up, but it comes naturally to me. I also have a First Class in Business Communication from the Pitman Institute of London.

On Emotional Intelligence – The most important differences are: First, Emotional Intelligence is a WAY OF LIFE for us, and two is that our content is bespoke to suit the audience who would attend the sessions. We get the proposed participants to fill out a short simple form. The completed forms bring out the issues faced, and basis of these we prepare customized content. Also, to support sustainable learning and retention, booklets and manuals are in the pipeline.

Great Companies: What are the struggles and challenges you face?

Chandini Ann Khanna: As a Content Specialist, people want great content but do not wish to pay accordingly. There are several instances of being compared to ‘someone who is providing average content’ but providing it at a ridiculously low price. What people sometimes fail to see, is that content is the backbone of any business and hence it must be done right and well. Writing takes a lot of effort, time, and huge dollops of passion!

Emotional Intelligence: Given that it is a concept, sometimes it is hard to explain that it is the very basis of success. It is directly connected with better concentration, ability to grasp, higher grades, and better relationships – for students. For companies: it is directly responsible for increased output, better performance, a fatter bottom line, and lowered cost of customer acquisition. All of these factors translate to sustainable success.

Great Companies: How do you plan to grow in the future? What does 5 years down the line look like for your company?

Chandini Ann Khanna: The times are unpredictable, but one thing that I am certain of, is that both content and Emotional Intelligence will continue to stay relevant, and will be the reason for businesses to flourish and for individuals to become successful. Am hoping that not just 5 years down, but for many years more my work in Content and our work on Emotional Intelligence through AnChEI Solutions is loved and respected by a larger audience.

Great Companies: If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Chandini Ann Khanna: Passion, Integrity, and Discipline (oops that is 3 pieces of advice - 😊) are critical. If you don’t have either one, build it, and only then start. This is true for any endeavor.
