1.Role modeling: To inspire others a leader has to become someone who people can look up to. Becoming a role model to others requires setting examples through ones behavior. To be inspiring, you have to Try new things, make a statement, and be creative and unique.
2.Listen: Inspirational leaders truly listen to what is said to them and respond appropriately. Listening is important because people respect people who respect their opinions. . Practice an open door policy; construct feedback mechanisms and complaint channels. Only listening however, is of no use, listening to what people have to say, replying and acting accordingly is important.
3.Be original: A good leader must be authentic and unique. Leaders who copy are not really leaders but followers. Leaders with authentic ideas and opinions are respected for their creativity and intellect as they have something to offer that nobody else has.
4.Be humble: leadership does not mean that a person has earned the right to do anything and everything. A good leader must know how to be polite and humble with those who work with them.
5.Trustworthiness: Employees need to be able to feel comfortable with their manager or leader with questions and concerns. It is important for a leader to demonstrate their integrity — employees will only trust leaders they respect. By being open and honest, you will encourage the same sort of honesty in your employees.
6.Unbiased: to be inspiring one must first become a good leader and to be a good leaders one must always be fair, objective and unbiased. Trust is a feeling that begins to emerge when we have a sense that another person or organization is driven by things other than their own self-gain. You must earn trust by communicating and demonstrating that you share the same values and beliefs.
7.Relaxed: leaders must understand how to balance their work and keep their head cool. They cannot lash out or afford to be short tempered. They must stay calm to handle tricky situations, only when they are relaxed they can inspire others to think clearly is difficult situations.
